About the Artist

Hey there! Welcome to my online studio for Jamie Leigh Art!

Let me introduce myself. I'm the eldest of 10 siblings, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

I was first introduced to art when I could hold a crayon. I had no idea that Jamie Leigh Art was the dream God had placed in my heart before I could paint.

As I grew, I tried many, many mediums such as chalks and pastels, inks and markers, and oils but really had no idea what I was doing.  The only thing that mattered was that I was having fun and had no sense of direction whatsoever.

After high school, I was ambitious and double majored in Fine Art and Creative Writing. After I graduated with a B.A. in both degrees I spent a year playing and splashing with colors about in countless mediums (from pastels to watercolors, and acrylics) because I had no instructor to tell me what to paint, after a while, I decided it was time to take a deep dive into one specific medium, acrylic.

In early 2020 (during the COVID scare & house lock-downs) I discovered my deep love for abstracts and semi-abstracts. Throughout the year 2020, I learned more about abstracts and tried many new methods of applying paint to the canvas.

It wasn't until December of 2021 that I knew I had more than just a blank canvas and paint.

I had my calling.

I was holding my little crayon again.

God took His time opening up His plan for me, and the light in my works is my way of sharing Him with you.

Every time you follow or comment on what I am doing today you are not supporting a big foreign company but rather you are supporting me, every time you subscribe to the Collectors Email or purchase my art (and give it it's forever home) you are stating that you love the light and want to share in it's presence.

If it wasn't for people like you, I wouldn't have a business. So, thank you from the depths of my heart for supporting me in every possible way!
